The Association for Transpersonal Psychology (ATP) is a membership-supported organization in the field of transpersonal psychology, founded in 1972. It grew out of the humanistic psychology and counterculture of the late 1960s. The organization has also contributed material to the PsycEXTRA database. While the association was originally created with the main goal of supporting the publication of the Journal of Transpersonal Psychology (JTP), its mission and vision have evolved over time. The association is currently undergoing a multi-year organizational transformation to better implement its mission of "Inspiring individual, societal, and global transformation."
