General Mariano Alvarez, officially the Municipality of General Mariano Alvarez (Tagalog: Bayan ng Heneral Mariano Alvarez) and often shortened as GMA, is a 1st class municipality in the province of Cavite, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 172,433 people.
The municipality was named after General Mariano Álvarez, a native of the town of Noveleta, Cavite.With an area of just 11.40 square kilometres (4.40 sq mi), it is the second most densely populated municipality in Cavite after Rosario.
