Answer» The full form of RTO is Regional Transport Office. It is an Indian Government government agency responsible for rendering services like the registration of vehicles, issue of driver’s licenses, collection of excise duty such as road tax and enforcement of road transportation rules in India. Every state and city have their own Regional Transport Office (RTO). Every R.T.O is responsible to carry out the functions and activities that are laid out in Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
