Arizona Public Service (APS) is the largest electric utility in Arizona, United States, and the principal subsidiary of publicly traded S&P 500 member Pinnacle West Capital Corporation, which in turn had been formerly named AZP Group, when Arizona Public Service reorganized as that holding company in 1985. Pinnacle West Capital made a profit of $500 million in 2017.

With 4,000 MW of generating capacity, APS serves more than one million customers in 11 counties throughout most of the state, but mainly concentrated in northern and central Arizona. APS is one of the two major suppliers of electricity to the Phoenix metropolitan area (the other being Salt River Project (SRP)).

APS is regulated by the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC), the state agency that, by mandate of Article 15, Section 2 of the state's constitution, regulates energy utilities in Arizona, with the notable exception of SRP, the rural electrical districts, and the City of Mesa electric utility serving Downtown Mesa and the immediate vicinity (with the rest of the city being served by SRP).

The holding company, Pinnacle West Capital, through its APS utility sells wholesale and retail power to the wider western United States and also provides energy-related services. Through another major subsidiary, Pinnacle West also developed and managed real estate in Arizona. Pinnacle West left the real estate business in 2010.

The utility company also operates three nuclear reactors. Its Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station in Arizona, the largest nuclear plant in the U.S., came under scrutiny by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in 2005 when operational problems began to cause prolonged outages.

Azure Dynamics Corporation is incorporated under the laws of Alberta, Canada having been spun out of BC Research Inc. Azure now is headquartered in Oak Park, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) is a professional body for the waste management industry in the United Kingdom and other countries. Based in Northampton, it has ten regional centres throughout England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, and is a member of the Society for the Environment. It awards the title of Chartered Waste Manager to qualifying members.

The objectives of the CIWM are to advance the scientific, technical and practical aspects of wastes and resource management for the safeguarding of the natural environment, to promote education, training, and research in wastes and resource management, and the dissemination of knowledge of the topic; and to strive to achieve and maintain the highest standards of best practice, technical competence and conduct by all its members.

The organisation was first established as the Association of Cleansing Superintendents of Great Britain on 25 June 1898, with waste managers from northern and Scottish cities, and was incorporated as the Institute of Cleansing Superintendents in 1908. It became the Institute of Public Cleansing in 1928, until 1981 when it was renamed to the Institute of Wastes Management. It was awarded a Royal Charter of Incorporation by Queen Elizabeth on 1 March 2002, and adopted its current name.

CIWM publishes the monthly CIWM Journal and the quarterly Municipal Vehicle Operator, and holds an annual joint conference with the Environmental Services Association in London.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), also known as the Agriculture Department, is the federal executive department responsible for developing and executing federal laws related to farming, forestry, rural economic development, and food.
