Based in Immokalee, Florida, the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW) is a worker-based human rights organization internationally recognized for its achievements in the fields of social responsibility, human trafficking, and gender-based violence at work. Built on a foundation of farmworker community organizing starting in 1993, and reinforced with the creation of a national consumer network since 2000, CIW's work has steadily grown over more than twenty years to encompass several overlapping spheres:

The CIW has aided in the investigation and federal prosecution of several slavery operations in Floridian agriculture. CIW received the 2015 Presidential Medal for Extraordinary Efforts to Combat Human Trafficking in Persons for "pioneering the Fair Food Program, empowering agricultural workers, and leveraging market forces and consumer awareness to promote supply chain transparency and eradicate modern slavery on participating farms." Previously, the U.S. Department of State presented the CIW with a 2010 Hero Acting to End Modern-Day Slavery Award and credited the CIW for developing "a multi-sectoral approach, tapping NGOs, law enforcement, labor inspectors and the survivors, themselves" to combat forced labor in the U.S. agriculture industry.

The CIW's national Campaign for Fair Food educates consumers on the issue of farm labor exploitation – its causes and solutions – and forges alliances between farmworkers and consumers that enlist the market power of major corporate buyers to help end that exploitation. The CIW's Campaign for Fair Food has secured agreements with fourteen major food retailers, including Yum! Brands, McDonald's, Compass Group, and Walmart. In 2010, the campaign resulted in the creation of the Fair Food Program (FFP), following an historic agreement between the CIW and the Florida Tomato Growers Exchange to implement the "Fair Food Code of Conduct" on 90% of the state's tomato farms, affecting approximately 30,000 acres of production and tens of thousands of workers.

National Textile Corporation is a government corporation owned by Ministry of Textiles , Government of India It owns 23 working textile mills which produce yarn and fabric. The company was incorporated in April 1968.

NTC had made a turnaround within a short span to emerge as a debt-free company with a highly competitive revival strategy. Apart from re-branding, NTC had developed a new marketing and corporate strategy that included revamping of all NTC stores and setting up of new stores.

The National Textile Corporation Limited (NTC) was incorporated in April 1968 for managing the affairs of sick textile undertakings, in the private sector, taken over by the Government. Starting with 16 mills in 1968, this number gradually rose to 103 by 1972–73. In the year 1974 all these units were nationalised under the Sick Textile Undertakings (Nationalization) Act 1974. The number of units increased to 119 by 1995. These 119 mills were controlled by NTC(HC) Ltd with the help of 9 subsidiary Corporations, with an authorised capital of ₹100 million (US$1.3 million) which was raised from time to time and which is now ₹50 billion (US$660 million) and the paid up share capital of the corporation is ₹30,621.6 million (US$410 million) as on 31 March 2010.

NTC has so far closed 77 mills and has transferred 2 mills in the State of Pondicherry to the State Government of Pondicherry.

NTC is to modernise/set up 24 (22+2) mills by itself through generation of funds from the sale of its surplus assets and 16 (18–2) mills are to be revived through Joint Venture route.

NTC has modernised 18 mills so far and is in the process of setting up 3 Composite Textile Units of which one is an SEZ area. NTC would be setting up 1 Technical Textile Unit and modernising 2 more units taken out from the list of Joint Venture apart from going into Ginning & Garmenting by way of forward and backward integration to have a pressure in all components of the value chain.

Nepal Doorsanchar Company Ltd. (Nepali: नेपाल दूरसञ्चार कम्पनी लिमिटेड), popularly known as Nepal Telecom (Nepali: नेपाल टेलिकम) or NTC is a state-owned telecommunication service provider in Nepal with 91.49% of the government share. The company was a monopoly until 2003 when the first private sector operator United Telecom Limited(UTL) started providing basic telephony services. The central office of Nepal Telecom is located at Bhadrakali Plaza, Kathmandu. It has branches, exchanges and other offices in 184 locations within the country.

It is the sole provider of fixed-line, ISDN and leased-line services in Nepal. Following the entry of Ncell (previously called Mero Mobile) into Nepal's telecommunications industry in 2005, it is no longer the only provider of GSM mobile service. With more than 5,400 employees, it is one of the largest corporations of Nepal. It has a total of 262 telephone exchanges in various parts of the country serving 603,291 PSTN lines, more than 5 million GSM cellular phones and more than a million CDMA phone lines as of July 2011.

According to recent data, there are about 20 million users of Nepal Telecom including all those of fixed landline, GSM mobile, CDMA and internet service. Nepal Telecom Launched 4G LTE Service on 1 January 2017. It is the first operator to provide 4G LTE service in Nepal on a technology-neutral frequency band of 1800 MHz as standard for 4G in Nepal. Till the date, 4G is available in all of the seven provinces present in Nepal. In July 2019, Nepal Telecom had successfully tested VoLTE service for the first time in Nepal and is available for users starting May 17, 2021. According to the MIS report published by Nepal Telecommunication Authority in April 2019, Nepal Telecom had the largest cable internet subscribers of hovering 211,513 covering 84% of all the cable internet market. Similarly, Nepal Telecom being a sole provider of WiMAX, had 87,977 subscribers by the end of April 2019. On 2 October 2019, Nepal Telecom expanded their 4G service to 60 cities of 37 districts, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

The Northern Traders Company was an enterprise engaged in the fur trading business in the north of Canada, with outposts in the Athabasca-Mackenzie River district in Alberta and the Northwest Territories during the early 20th century. They were in direct competition with the Hudson's Bay Company and controlled an estimated 8% of the fur trading market in the north by 1922. Its principal was Colonel J.K. "Peace River Jim" Cornwall who got a start in the Peace River and Lesser Slave Lake district in the early 1900s and expanded north after the 1911 takeover of Hislop & Nagle and their fur trading posts in the Northwest Territories. Northern Traders were engaged in river transportation, primarily to service its own fur trading posts, but they also provided commercial passenger and freight service on their steam-driven vessels. The company went into receivership in 1926 and struggled to remain in business for the next seven years while under the management of creditors. In 1931, the company was liquidated, with all stock being sold to the Hudson's Bay Company, and its transportation arm being sold and reorganized as Northern Waterways Limited.
