Answer» What is China Multimedia Mobile Broadcasting mean? China Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting (CMMB) is a mobile television and multimedia standard developed and specified in China by the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television (SARFT). It is based on the Satellite and Terrestrial Interactive Multiservice Infrastructure (STiMi), developed by TiMiTech, a company formed by the Chinese Academy of Broadcasting Science. Announced in October 2006, it has been described as being similar to Europe's DVB-SH standard for digital video broadcast from both satellites and terrestrial repeaters to handheld devices. It specifies usage of the S-band/U-band and occupies 25 MHz bandwidth within which it provides 25 video and 30 radio channels with some additional data channels. Multiple companies have chips that support CMMB standard - Innofidei who was the first with a solution 28 March 2007. Other manufacturers, such as Unique Broadband Systems, were quick to enter the race and grab a share of the handheld broadcasting market with their hardware platform supporting both CMMB and DTMB (as well as others) standard waveforms. reference |

SEL meaning in Community ? |
Answer» What is Social and Emotional Learning mean? Social-emotional learning (SEL) is an education practice that integrates social and emotional skills into school curriculum. SEL is also referred to as "socio-emotional learning", "social and emotional learning", or "social-emotional literacy". In practice, social-emotional learning emphasizes social and emotional skills to the same degree as other subjects, such as math, science, and reading. The five main components of social-emotional learning are: Self-awarenessSelf-managementSocial awarenessResponsible decision-makingRelationship skills.Self-awareness is the skill of having knowledge of one's own emotions and developing a positive self-concept. Self-management is the ability to regulate one's own emotions and monitor one's own behaviors. Social awareness is the ability to have awareness of the emotions and social situations of other people. Relationship skills are defined as the skills to foster relationships and communicate within them. Finally, SEL prioritizes responsible decision making as the ability to solve problems and hold one's self accountable. These core ideologies help students to live socially and emotionally healthy lives both during and after their time in the school system. SEL uses school-family-community partnerships so that youths and adults alike are able to continue the practices of SEL beyond the classroom. Ultimately, SEL ensures that students have the foundation to improve their academic performance by means of less social and or emotional stress. The leading source for information on SEL is the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL). CASEL identifies the "The CASEL 5" which are the key elements of social-emotional learning (self awareness, self management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making). These core components were created so that school systems have a clear goals and framework for implementation. CASEL also defines the best methods for implementing SEL at different levels being classrooms, schools, families and caregivers, and communities. reference

Answer» What is Cebu Citizens-Press Council mean? The Cebu Citizens-Press Council is a forum for media issues and for airing grievance based in Cebu City, Philippines. It aims to defend press freedom and promote professional journalism. The CCPC was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a non-stock, non-profit organization in 2006. But the idea for the council began much earlier. In 2001, three Cebu journalists—Eileen Mangubat of Cebu Daily News, Noel Pangilinan of The Freeman and Pachico Seares of SunStar Cebu—spoke in Manila with Marvin Tort, then executive director of the Philippine Press Council, about setting up a local press council. In Cebu, journalist Juan Mercado helped lay the groundwork for the organization. There were consultations with potential members as well as with Melinda Quintos-de Jesus of the Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility, which wanted to help set up press councils in Cebu, Palawan and Baguio. A year later, Seares presented to the prospective members the proposed Code of Practice and Rules of Procedure of CCPC, adopted from foreign models and from consultations with other convenors and based on the local experience. Then the project went to sleep—for three years. reference
