Dash is an open-source blockchain and cryptocurrency focused on offering a fast, cheap global payments network that is decentralized in nature. According to the project's white paper, Dash seeks to improve upon Bitcoin (BTC) by providing stronger privacy and faster transactions.

Dash, whose name comes from "digital cash," was launched in January 2014 as a fork of Litecoin (LTC). Since going live, Dash has grown to include features such as a two-tier network with incentivized nodes, including "masternodes," and decentralized project governance; InstantSend, which allows for instantly settled payments; ChainLocks, which makes the Dash blockchain instantly immutable; and PrivateSend, which offers additional optional privacy for transactions.

Dash was founded by software developers Evan Duffield and Kyle Hagan. The project was originally called XCoin, changing its name to Darkcoin two weeks later before rebranding again to Dash in March 2015 in an effort to positively change its image.

Before launching Dash, Duffield was a software developer with experience in finance, from his time working at Hawk Financial Group, as well as in public relations, having developed machine learning algorithms and search engines. He first conceived of Dash in 2012 as a way to add more anonymity to Bitcoin — hence, originally calling it Darkcoin. Duffield has claimed that he started it as a hobby, coding it in just one weekend. Duffield served as CEO of Dash Core Group — the company that supports the continued development, integrations and other activities of Dash — until December 2017 when he stepped down to focus on other strategic initiatives.

Hagan co-authored the original Darkcoin whitepaper alongside Duffield. However, he left the project early on in December 2014.

According to its website, the goal of Dash is "to be the most user-friendly and scalable payments-focused cryptocurrency in the world." To accomplish this, the project relies on a network of masternodes, which are servers backed by collateral held in Dash that are designed to provide advanced services securely and governance over Dash's proposal system. In exchange for part of the block rewards, masternodes provide a second layer of services to the network. They facilitate functions such as InstantSend, PrivateSend and ChainLocks.

Dash is marketed to both individual users and institutions, including merchants, financial services, traders and those who need to send international remittances. In October 2020, Dash Core Group reported that its strategic objectives moving forward include building its ecosystem and brand, ensuring that users are satisfied and further advancing the technology behind the network.

Dash's governance system, or treasury, distributes 10% of the block rewards for the development of the project in a competitive and decentralized way. This has allowed the creation of many funded organizations, including Dash Core Group. In addition, the Dash Foundation, which advocates for the adoption of the cryptocurrency, receives donations and offers paid individual and institutional memberships.

TrustSwap is a distributed platform, cryptocurrency and protocol that promises a new evolution to decentralized finance (DeFi). It aims to achieve this through next-generation multi-chain token swaps and other functionalities that aim to solve existing problems with split payments, subscriptions and cross-chain token swaps.

TrustSwap describes its mission is to power "customizable transactions," not only for the DeFi space but also for the entire crypto industry. Incorporated in July 2020 in Canada, the platform seeks to take smart contracts mainstream.

Among TrustSwap’s primary products are staking, smart locks and smart swaps, which can wrap any coin or token into an ERC20 token. For example, the protocol offers cryptocurrency wrapping services which enables anyone to wrap and use any cryptocurrency on the Ethereum blockchain. Also, it features escrow services enabling it to become a trusted middleman in crypto-based financial transactions.

Jeff Kirdeikis and Adam Barlam lead the project as CEO and CTO respectively. The CEO is also the founder of Uptrennd, a media platform tapping into blockchain technology's power. Kirdeikis also runs a successful cryptocurrency-focused group on Facebook with over 150,000 members.

Barlam, on the other hand, has significant experience in and outside blockchain circles, as the developer behind a review platform, Bravocoin, where reviews are paid in cryptocurrency. In addition, he has previously held key positions at Intel and GoDaddy.

TrustSwap has a token launchpad offering that is customized by users and can be set to release investor tokens at specific times or implement a lock-up period for tokens allocated to a project's team.

The feature can also be customized to give early access to those staking TrustSwap's base asset, SWAP.

Additionally, the platform uses its SmartLock feature to allow parents to automatically make digital currency payments to their kids' bank accounts on a set interval. Furthermore, you can save money and automatically transfer it at a date of your choice to a specified account.

The surplus pool will accrue whenever an insurance premium is paid. 40% of the premium will be added into the surplus pool. Another 10% will be reserved till the expiration of the contract. If there is no claim, it will add into the surplus pool. The surplus pool will grow over time and will be utilized to cover insurance claims first. When the surplus pool cannot cover all the claims, the capital pool will be used to pay the rest. When the surplus pool grows large enough, the SURE holders will receive % from the staked SURE to better incentivise the increase of the inSure Staked Pool.

inSure holders can stake on different DEXs and earn % from each trade in addition to the insurance that inSure plans provide.

For the first phase, we will focus on the risk against scams, devaluations and stolen funds. The more less-correlated business will be introduced to deliver higher returns to token holders at the community’s vote.

Under normal circumstances, all operations on inSure can be completed by smart contracts. But in reality, in order to take into account the interests of users, better achieve decentralization effects, and ensure the process to be more transparent, decisions of certain events will require the community to vote. Therefore, the platform will set up an inSure DAO organization to facilitate such decisions and manage extreme situations. It should be noted that inSure DAO does not have the custody of the fund pool, nor can it release funds to any specific person. Each committee member may be replaced by voting at any time.

inSure DAO members can negotiate and propose relevant proposals to the benefit of the inSure ecosystem. The voting proposals must include clear voting options and inSure DAO's recommendations. Then each community member is given a period of time to vote, and the result with a majority decision will be implemented. Any inSure holder can become a member of inSure DAO.

In addition to using Chainlink’s Historical Price Data, inSure DeFI is working on a hybrid on-chain/off-chain application combining Chainlink and Google Cloud AI. This allows inSure to process on-chain data related to insurable events (i.e.; stolen funds and scams) using Google AutoML, and then relay its outputs on-chain using Chainlink.

Chainlink’s ability to connect with any external API allows GET calls to retrieve the data/results from processing and deliver them directly to smart contracts. inSure DeFi will use this unique Chainlink feature to leverage Google Cloud Platform’s ML services (such as AutoML and Cloud Inference API) for processing publicly available information and data on the blockchain while feeding those decisions to the smart-contract via Chainlink oracles to trigger an automated fulfillment of insurance claims.
