The Japanese Federation of the Deaf (全日本ろうあ連盟, Zaidan hōjin zen-nihon rōa renmei) (JFD) is the national organization of the Deaf in Japan. JFD is also a member organization of the World Federation of the Deaf.

The JFD supports Deaf culture in Japan and works to revise laws that prevent the Deaf in Japan from participating in various professions and activities. In addition, JFD helps to incorporate Japanese Sign Language into education systems for the Deaf and supports the sign language interpreter system.

The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD), formerly known as the Metro-Dade Police Department (1981–1997), Dade County Public Safety Department (1957–1981), and the Dade County Sheriff's Office (1836–1957), is a county police department serving Miami-Dade County. The Ministry of Labour Staff Association (MLSA) was a trade union representing civil servants working in the British Ministry of Labour.

The union was founded in 1912 as the National Federation of Employment Department Clerks, bringing together five largely autonomous regional unions of clerks in the newly-established labour exchanges. The union gradually grew, admitting women from 1914, and temporary staff as associate members from 1918. That year, the regional unions amalgamated fully, and the federation became the Employment Department Clerks' Association.

Despite the amalgamation, the union failed to grow further, partly because temporary staff were not willing to join a union which would permit them only associate status. In an attempt to reinvigorate itself, the union became the "Ministry of Labour Staff Association" in 1924 and, for the first time, appointed a full-time general secretary, Reginald Crook. Temporary staff were finally permitted full membership, and typists, messengers and third class officers were also permitted to join.

The union spent much of its time campaigning for increases in wages, but this only succeeded in 1947, when Ministry of Labour clerks were placed on general civil service pay scales.

In 1939, the union was a founder of the Civil Service Alliance, and in 1943 a founder of the Federation of Ministry of Labour Staffs. It joined the Trades Union Congress in 1948.

Membership of the union was over 17,000 by 1973, when it merged into the Civil and Public Services Association.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA; Filipino: Pangasiwaan sa Pagpapaunlad ng Kalakhang Maynila) is an agency of the Republic of the Philippines created embracing the cities of Manila, Quezon City, Caloocan, Pasay, Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasig, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Parañaque, Valenzuela, Malabon, Taguig, Navotas and San Juan and the municipality of Pateros. The Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations (MMPR) was a set of Canadian regulations enacted in July 2013 concerning the production, distribution and use of medical cannabis (rendered in Canadian legislation as marihuana). Portions of the law become effective on October 1, 2013, March 31, 2014 and March 31, 2015. The law was struck down as unconstitutional by the Federal Courts due to the inability for patients to grow their own medicine. The new act put forward is the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR).

The MMPR program replaces the Marihuana Medical Access Regulations (MMAR), which came into force on 30 July 2001. Prior to a federal injunction, the MMAR program was to end on March 31, 2014. The MMAR program was intended to clearly define the circumstances and the manner in which access to cannabis for medical purposes would be permitted. It contained three main components: authorizations to possess dried cannabis flowers; licences to produce dried cannabis flowers, which include Personal-Use Production Licences and Designated-Person Production Licences; and access to supply of cannabis seeds or dried cannabis flowers.

The MMPR was introduced in response to concerns from stakeholders that the MMAR was open to abuse. The MMPR treats cannabis as much as possible like any other narcotic used for medical purposes by creating conditions for a new, commercial industry that is responsible for its production and distribution. According to Health Canada, the regulations "will provide access to quality-controlled marihuana for medical purposes, produced under secure and sanitary conditions, to those Canadians who need it, while strengthening the safety of Canadian communities. In addition, the new regulations will also enable more choices of marihuana strains and licensed, commercial suppliers."

Under the MMPR, Health Canada maintains a list of authorized licensed producers of medical cannabis. While the MMPR originally only contemplated the sale of dried cannabis flowers, recent amendments allow patients to turn their cannabis into products such as edibles and cannabis oil.

The transition from the MMAR to the MMPR program represents a substantial change in direction for the supply and acquisition of medical cannabis in Canada. It has not gone without controversy. The MMAR DPL/PPL Coalition Against Repeal is a coalition of over 6,000 members fighting for the preservation of the MMAR. An exemption was granted by a Federal Court Judge in British Columbia and permits clients who had a valid authorization to possess and/or a production license as of March 21, 2014 to continue to grow until the outcome of a Constitutional Challenge Trial that started in February 2015. In August 2016, Health Canada announced the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR) to replace MMPR. The new program incorporates the MMPR with a new personal cultivation regime similar to the former Marihuana Medical Access Regulations (MMAR).

The Military Police Regimental Association or MPRA, is a professional organization for Military Police. Founded in 1990, it is purposely aligned to the United States Army Military Police Corps. Membership is open to anyone who has ever served in the United States Army Military Police Corps, as well as anyone who has served as an MP or a civilian police officer, and MPRA claims to have a more than 6,800 current members. The MPRA maintains a Military Police museum at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where the schools are located to train United States Army and United States Marine Corps Military Police. A nearby memorial is also maintained by the MPRA.

The MPRA publishes a quarterly magazine, "The Dragoon," featuring history and news from Military Police Soldiers and units. The Dragoon has also featured news from Marine Corps MP units.

The Midwest Transportation Libraries Consortium, which became the Midwest Transportation Knowledge Network (MTKN), was founded in December 2001 through the sponsorship of the National Transportation Library (NTL) and the efforts of Midwestern transportation libraries. There are two types of minimum off-route altitudes (MORAs): the route MORA and the grid MORA.
