The Western Kentucky Railway (reporting mark WKRL) was a shortline railroad in Kentucky, that connected coal mines with CSX Transportation at Providence. The lines were part of the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad until March 1982, when Costain Coal, Inc. bought the trackage and set up the Tradewater Railway (reporting mark TWRY) to operate it. In January 1995, the Rail Management and Consulting Corporation acquired the property and transferred it to the new Western Kentucky Railway. Genesee & Wyoming Inc. acquired it from the Rail Management Corporation in 2005. In 2010, WKRL abandoned all of its remaining lines north of Providence, and the rails were removed shortly after. The only remaining tracks that were originally owned by WKRL are operated by Martin Marrieta Aggregates' Fredonia Valley Railroad from Princeton to Fredonia.

When created in 1995, the Western Kentucky Railway owned lines from Providence to a junction at Blackford, and from Blackford north to Waverly and south to the Paducah and Louisville Railway at Princeton. Most of the north-south line, once the main line of the Ohio Valley Railway (an Illinois Central Railroad predecessor) was abandoned in 1995 and 1996, leaving only the piece between Blackford and Dekoven. (The Fredonia Valley Railroad later acquired the section from Princeton to Fredonia.)The rest of the line was then abandoned in 2010 and removed from Providence to Wheatcroft and the surrounding mines.

Barra is a municipality in Bahia, Brazil. Barra covers 11,422.537 km2 (4,410.266 sq mi), and has a population of 53,910 with a population density of 4.3 inhabitants per square kilometer.

Barra was originally settled by Xakriabá people who lived along the Rio São Francisco. A corral of Casa da Torre of Dias D’Ávila was established in the ravines of the Rio Grande (Bahia) in 1670 at the junction of the Rio Grande and São Francisco. The Franciscans built a chapel in 1680 and it became locally known as São Francisco das Chagas da Barra do Rio Grande do Sul. This settlement became the Vila de São Francisco do Rio Grande do Sul in 1752. The name was simplified in 1873 to Barra do Rio Grande, and again in 1931 to Barra.

Barra was one of the most prosperous cities in the state of Bahia due to commercial traffic along the Rio São Francisco. Roadways were built into the interior of Bahia in the 1970s and Barra lost its importance to inland water transportation. Additionally, the highway system did not extend to Barra. The municipality fell into decline and many residents left to look for work elsewhere. Barra was ultimately connected by highway to other areas of Bahia in 1998.

The Southeastern Railway Museum (initialised SRM, AAR code SMRX) is a railroad museum located in Duluth, Georgia, in suburban Atlanta.

The museum was founded in 1970 by the Atlanta Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society. There are over 90 pieces of rolling stock exhibited on the 30-acre (12 ha) site. In 2000, the museum was given the title of being Georgia's official transportation history museum, and the collection of exhibits continues to diversify to reflect this.

In addition to the rolling stock there is a wide variety of railroad artifacts and an extensive archive. The grounds also contain the restored 1871 Duluth passenger train depot, a G16/Park train ride, and a model railroad housed in Building 1. Visitors can also take a brief train ride on restored cabooses over track which runs the length of the property.
