The Tennessee Railroad (reporting mark TENN) was a short line standard gauge (4 ft 81⁄2in) common carrier railroad running from Oneida, Tennessee to Fork Mountain, Tennessee. Reorganized in 1973 by the Southern Railway as the Tennessee Railway, it remains a subsidiary of Norfolk Southern.

Sold at foreclosure on Valentine’s Day in 1918, the Tennessee Railway never was a financial powerhouse. In 1957, the railroad retired its last steam locomotive. In 1959, the first petition for abandonment was filed, but the coal business picked up and it was withdrawn. In 1973, with the railroad in receivership, the line became part of the Southern Railway. In the years following, Southern upgraded the line with new ties and rail, daylighted the tunnel near Oneida, and streamlined operations to make the line an important feeder for coal traffic.

As environmental regulations became stricter, and large low-sulfur coal reserves were discovered in Wyoming’s Powder River Basin, coal mining operations in the area began to play out. By 2005, it appeared the Tennessee was again doomed when Southern Railway successor Norfolk Southern filed to abandon the line, but thanks to National Coal Corporation, the line was purchased with hopes that the coal mining industry would once again use this route. National Coal originally selected Watco to manage and operate the line, but only one train ran in 2006. Since then the line has been inactive. In 2008, a company known as the New River Railway began operating passenger excursion trains over various parts of the line.

In 1991, American country music band The Desert Rose Band filmed part of their music video for the single "You Can Go Home" at the Tennessee Railroad Museum.

Al-Jawf Province (Arabic: ‫منطقة الجوف‬‎ Minṭaqah al-Jawf pronounced [alˈdʒoːf]), also spelled Al-Jouf, is one of the provinces of Saudi Arabia, located in the north of the country, containing its only international border with Jordan to the west. It is deemed one of the oldest habitation places in Arab Peninsula so that habitation places were found back to the Stone Age periods and Acheulean civilization. Habitation has continued there throughout the Copper Age and a kingdom has formed known as the kingdom of Qidar (the kingdom of Dumat al-Jandal and also the kingdom of Adumato) which was in rebellion and conflict with the Assyrian state for the independence, in this period which the name of the Arabs appeared in historical texts. Later a Christian kingdom arose under the rule of the Bani Kalb tribe and it has continued until the arrival of Islam and its annexation to Islamic lands. Then the Tayy tribe and its branches controlled the region and its surroundings. With the beginning of the modern era and the emergence of the third Saudi state, Al-Jouf was a site of conflict between the Al-Rashid family and the Al-Shaalan family, but the region was eventually subject to the rule of King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud as part of his plan to unify the regions.

The Al-Jouf region is considered one of the most fertile regions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As well as the Basitah Center – one of the Al-Jouf centers affiliated to Tabarjal town "the food basket of the Kingdom" due to the variety of its crops. Because of its geographical location in the region, its being a moderate climate in the summer, its soil fertility and abundant groundwater, that helped it to get this title. [4] The region is famous for cultivating olive trees [5], producing approximately 67% of the olive oil made in the Kingdom. [6] Al-Jouf is also popular for planting palm trees, because it produces approximately 150,000 tons of dates every year [7], In addition to its production of fruits, vegetables, wheat and barley.

Texarkana is a city in Bowie County, Texas, United States, located in the Ark-La-Tex region. Located approximately 180 miles (290 km) from Dallas, Texarkana is a twin city with neighboring Texarkana, Arkansas. The population of the Texas city was 36,411 at the 2010 census. The Treaty Establishing the European Stability Mechanism was signed by the member states of the eurozone to found the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), an international organisation located in Luxembourg, to act as a permanent source of financial assistance for member states in financial difficulty, with a maximum lending capacity of €500 billion. It replaced two earlier temporary EU funding programmes: the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) and the European Financial Stabilisation Mechanism (EFSM). All new bailouts of eurozone member states will be covered by ESM, while the EFSF and EFSM will continue to handle money transfers and program monitoring for bailouts previously approved for Ireland, Portugal and Greece.

The treaty stipulated that the organization would be established if member states representing 90% of its original capital requirements ratified the founding treaty. This threshold was surpassed with Germany's ratification on 27 September 2012, bringing the treaty into force on that date for the sixteen states which had ratified the agreement. The ESM commenced its operations at a meeting on 8 October 2012. A separate treaty, amending Article 136 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU) to authorize the establishment of the ESM under EU law, was planned to enter into force on 1 January 2013. However, the last of the 27 European Union member states to ratify the amendment, the Czech Republic, did not do so until 23 April 2013, resulting in its entry into force on 1 May 2013. In June 2015, an updated EMU reform plan was released which envisaged that in the medium-term (between July 2017 and 2025) the ESM should be transposed from being an intergovernmental agreement to become fully integrated into the EU law framework applying to all eurozone member states, so that the ESM can be governed more smoothly by the EU institutions - under the competence provided for by the amended article 136 of the TFEU.
