The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad (WMSR) is a heritage railroad based in Cumberland, Maryland that operates passenger excursion trains and occasional freights using both steam and diesel locomotives over ex-Western Maryland Railway (WM) tracks between Cumberland and Frostburg. Americana (Portuguese pronunciation: [ameɾiˈkɐnɐ]) is a municipality (município) located in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. It is part of the Metropolitan Region of Campinas. The population is 229,322 (2015 est.) in an area of 133.91 km2 (51.70 sq mi). The original settlement developed around the local railway station, founded in 1875, and the development of a cotton weaving factory in a nearby farm.

After 1866, several former Confederate citizens from the American Civil War settled in the region. Following the Civil War, slavery was abolished in the United States. In Brazil, however, slavery was legal until 1888, making it a particularly attractive location to former Confederates, among whom was a former member of the Alabama State Senate, William Hutchinson Norris.

Around three hundred of the Confederados are members of the Fraternidade Descendência Americana (Fraternity of American Descendants). They meet quarterly at the Campo Cemetery.

The city was known as Vila dos Americanos ("Village of the Americans") until 1904, when it belonged to the city of Santa Bárbara d'Oeste. It became a district in 1924 and a municipality in 1953.

ACUC, American and Canadian Underwater Certifications Inc. is an international recreational diving membership and diver training organization. Formerly known as the Association of Canadian Underwater Councils, it was formed as a not for profit collective of regional dive councils to create a national forum for their common interest and concerns. It soon began developing a training curriculum better suited to the Canadian conditions that many other training agencies neglected. It was later incorporated in 1986 in Canada by Robert Cronkwright. The Yancey Railroad (reporting mark YAN) was an American Class III shortline railroad that operated for freight service from a connection with the Clinchfield Railroad at Kona, North Carolina, through Micaville, to Burnsville, 10.6 miles (17.1 km). A short branch ran from Micaville to Bowditch, North Carolina, 2.11 miles (3.40 km). Total mileage was 12.83 miles (20.65 km). Rail was 60–65 pounds and the maximum load limit was 75 tons. A county commission (or a board of county commissioners) is a group of elected officials collectively charged with administering the county government in some states of the United States; such commissions usually comprising three to five members. In some counties within Georgia, however, a sole commissioner holds the authority of the commission.

In parts of the United States, alternative terms such as County Board of Supervisors or County Council may be used in lieu of, but generally synonymous to, a County Commission. The Canadian National Soccer League, known as the National Soccer League until 1993, was a soccer league in Canada that existed from 1926 to 1997. The league was also known as the National Soccer League of Ontario and Quebec. Adding 'Canadian' in 1993 was a result of the folding of the original CSL, and the accepting of the Winnipeg Fury, making the league more national.

It was then re-branded as the Canadian Professional Soccer League in 1998, primarily as a result of the restructuring in conjunction with the OSA; and subsequently as the second Canadian Soccer League in 2006 with aspirations for national expansion.
