The European Space Technology Platform (ESTP) is a European Seventh Framework Programme initiative to improve the competitive situation of the European Union in the field of space technology. It continues to work during Horizon 2020 (2014–2020).

The European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA) is a European trade association founded in 1959. Based in Brussels, Belgium, it brings together more than 2500 communications agencies and agency associations from nearly 30 European countries. EACA members include advertising, media, digital, branding and PR agencies.

EACA represents its members and defends their interests in the decision-making processes of the Institutions of the European Union. The Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (or IRB; French: La Commission de l'immigration et du statut de réfugié du Canada, CISR), established in 1989 by an Act of Parliament, is an independent administrative tribunal that is responsible for making decisions on immigration and refugee matters. As one of their responsibilities, the IRB decides on applications for refugee protection made by individuals.

The International Network of Basin Organizations (INBO) (French: Réseau International des Organismes de Bassin RIOB). It was established in 1994 and its headquarters is in Paris.

Its objective is to promote the exchange of experiences between organizations in charge of river basin management in such areas as institutional and financial management, knowledge of water resources, training different stakeholders involved in water management as well as the staff of basin organizations, and increasing the awareness of the general public for water resources management. It also promotes the twinning of basin organizations from different countries, including the exchange of staff. INBO and its member organizations support the application of Integrated water resources management

As of 2000 INBO included 134 members or observers. Some countries are represented by a government Ministry, whether these countries have established river basin organizations (such as Morocco) or not (such as India). Other countries, notably France and Spain which both have a long tradition of well-established river basin organizations (see fr:Agence de l'eau and es:Confederación hidrográfica), are represented both at the Ministerial level and by river basin organizations. Algeria, Brazil and Mexico, which have all established river basin organizations during the 1990s, are represented both by institutions at the national and at the basin level. As of 2000 INBO had no members from China, Egypt, Germany, Nigeria, South Africa, Turkey or the United States, countries which have no or few river basin organizations. INBO includes transboundary basin agencies, such as the Organisation pour la mise en valeur du fleuve Sénégal (OMVS). It also includes several international organizations and partnerships, such as UNEP, UNDP and the Global Water Partnership, as well as regional organization such as the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

The International Cocoa Organization (ICCO) is an inter-governmental organization established in 1973 under the auspices of the United Nations and operating within the framework of successive International Cocoa Agreements.

The Organization comprises 51 Member countries, of which 22 are cocoa-exporting countries and 29 are cocoa-importing countries. These Member countries together represent 92% of world cocoa exports and 80% of world cocoa imports.

Latacunga (Spanish pronunciation: [lataˈkuŋɡa]; Quechua: Latakunga) is a plateau town of Ecuador, capital of the Cotopaxi Province, 89 km (55 mi) south of Quito, near the confluence of the Alaquez and Cutuchi rivers to form the Patate, the headstream of the Pastaza. At the time of census 2010 Latacunga had 98,355 inhabitants, largely mestizo and indigenous.

Latacunga took its independence from Spain on November 11, 1820.

Latacunga is an hour and half south from Quito on the Pan-American Highway. It was previously also on the old road from Quito to Guayaquil, and has a railway station between those cities. It is 9,577 ft (2,919 m). above sea level. Its climate is cold and windy, due to the neighboring snowclad heights, and the barren, pumice-covered tableland on which it stands. The active volcano Cotopaxi is only 25 km. away, and the town has suffered repeatedly from eruptions. Founded in 1534, it was four times destroyed by earthquakes between 1698 and 1798. The neighboring ruins of an older native town are said to date from the Incas Empire.

Latacunga's most noted food is chugchucaras, empanadas, plantains, popcorn, and tostado (a type of toasted corn). Often, food is mixed with ají, a type of condiment that can be mild to very spicy depending on its preparation.

The Latacunga economy is dependent on agriculture, floriculture and commerce. It has an international airport, the Cotopaxi International Airport, that is not used for international passenger use, but as an Air Force base and some special commercial flights. The local volcanic activity has led to the accumulation of pumice deposits which are currently mined, as well as the presence of natural sparkling water, which is bottled under the brand name San Felipe.

The European Commission's Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (previously the Return Fund, the Refugee Fund, and the Integration Fund) is a funding programme managed by the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs which promotes the efficient management of migration flows and the implementation, strengthening and development of a common approach to asylum and immigration in the European Union. The “System for Information on Grey Literature in Europe” (SIGLE) was established in 1980, two years after a seminar on grey literature organised by the European Commission in York (UK). Operated by a network of national information or document supply centres active in collecting and promoting grey literature, SIGLE was an online, pan-European electronic bibliographic database and document delivery system.

The objective was to provide access to European grey literature and to improve bibliographic coverage.

From 1980 to 1985, SIGLE was funded by the Commission of the European Communities (CEC). When CEC financial support ended in 1985, the national centres formed a network for the acquisition, identification and dissemination of grey literature called “European Association for Grey Literature Exploitation” or EAGLE, who became the producer of the SIGLE database.

Input to the database ended in 2005 when the EAGLE General Assembly decided the liquidation of the network.

In 2007, together with the last EAGLE operating agent, FIZ Karlsruhe, the French STI centre INIST-CNRS integrated the SIGLE records into a new open access database called OpenSIGLE hosted by INIST-CNRS.
