Dabou is a port town in southern Ivory Coast. It is the seat of both the Lagunes District and the Grands-Ponts Region. It is also the seat of and a sub-prefecture of the Dabou Department. Dabou is also a commune.

The town is served by Dabou Airport. Writer Regina Yaou was born in the town.

The Wallowa Union Railroad Authority (reporting mark WURR) is a short-line railroad owned by Wallowa County and Union County in the U.S. state of Oregon. It operates freight and tourist trains over a 62.58-mile (100.71 km) ex-Union Pacific Railroad line from the end of an Idaho Northern and Pacific Railroad branch at Elgin to Joseph, generally paralleling Oregon Route 82.

The Oregon Railroad and Navigation Company, a predecessor of the Union Pacific Railroad (UP), completed a branch from the main line at La Grande through Elgin to Joseph in late 1908. The Idaho Northern and Pacific Railroad (INPR) leased (from La Grande to Elgin) and bought (from Elgin to Joseph) the line, among others, from the UP in November 1993. The Surface Transportation Board authorized abandonment beyond Elgin in 1997, but this was not consummated, and in 2002 Wallowa County purchased the line, still operated by the INPR. The new Wallowa Union Railroad Authority took over ownership from Wallowa County and operations from the INPR in 2003.

Since 2003, the Eagle Cap Excursion Train has operated on the line.

The Blount County Rescue Squad, located in Alcoa, Tennessee, is a private, not-for-profit organization tasked with responding to various emergencies in Blount County, Tennessee. The Great Southern Rail Trail is a 68-kilometre rail trail from Leongatha to Welshpool in South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. This mostly flat or gently undulating trail goes through lush dairy farmland, areas of remnant bush and lowland scrub. It climbs from the foothills of Fish Creek up past Mount Hoddle and then down a steep descent through dense forest out into magnificent views of Wilsons Promontory and Corner Inlet, continuing on to Foster. before ending at Welshpool.

The trail is well maintained with a surface of compacted gravel. Koalas Wombats and wallabies can often be seen from the trail particularly in the early mornings and evenings.

The 10 km Toora to Welshpool section was opened on 7 February 2015.

A section from Koonwarra to Minns road was opened in March 2016 incorporating what were three very dilapidated wooden trestle bridges. This section replaces what was a three kilometer diversion to the nearby South Gippsland Highway. The section provides an unbroken trail from Leongatha to Welshpool. Users can then link to a 6 km pathway to Port Welshpool and its picturesque Long Jetty.

The trail is being progressively extended, and may eventually reach Yarram.

Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons / Escadrille canadiennes de plaisance (CPS-ECP) is an organization of recreational boaters with about 26,000 active members. CPS is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. Its volunteer instructors train recreational boaters in boating safety knowledge as well as their vessel handling and navigation skills. The Hardin Southern Railroad (reporting mark HSRR) was a short line freight and tourist railroad located in Hardin, Kentucky. In 2005, the Murray-Calloway Economic Development Corporation bought the former line and leased it to the KWT Railway for the purpose of serving the Murray Industrial Park in Murray.

A passenger train operated over this line until 2005. The equipment used included an EMD SW1 which was sent to Knoxville Locomotive Works in Knoxville, Tennessee. The passenger cars and a Chessie System C27A caboose went to the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Norfolk Southern, with the caboose ending up on the Black River & Western Railroad in Ringoes, New Jersey.

Most of the trackage of the former Hardin Southern Railroad was removed in August 2009.
