Novice Independent School District was a public school district based in Novice, Texas (USA).

Located in Coleman County, a small portion of the district extended into Runnels County.

Novice ISD had one school that served students in grades pre-kindergarten through twelve.

In 2009, the school district was rated "academically unacceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.

In May, 2012, it celebrated its 100th graduating class, but closed that summer due to financial troubles, and formally consolidated with Coleman ISD on March 1, 2013. The last time two school districts in the Abilene, Texas area, or the "Big Country", had consolidated was the 2005 merger of the Haskell Independent School District and the Rochester Independent School District; the latter was absorbed into the former. The National Hockey Association (NHA), officially the National Hockey Association of Canada Limited, was a professional ice hockey organization with teams in Ontario and Quebec, Canada. It is the direct predecessor of today's National Hockey League (NHL). Founded in 1909 by Ambrose O'Brien, the NHA introduced 'six-man hockey' by removing the 'rover' position in 1911. During its lifetime, the league coped with competition for players with the rival Pacific Coast Hockey Association (PCHA), the enlistment of players for World War I and disagreements between owners. The disagreements between owners came to a head in 1917, when the NHA suspended operations in order to get rid of an unwanted owner (Eddie Livingstone). The remaining NHA team owners started the NHL in parallel as a temporary measure, to continue play while negotiations went on with Livingstone and other lawsuits were pending. A year later, after no progress was reached with Livingstone, the other NHA owners decided to permanently suspend the NHA. The NHA's rules, constitution and trophies were continued in the NHL.

The International Wrestling Council (IWC) World Heavyweight Championship (Campeonato Mundial de Peso Completo de la IWC in Spanish) was a professional wrestling world heavyweight championship in the Mexican professional wrestling promotion, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA). The championship existed from 1993 until 2007, when it was unified with the GPCW SUPER-X Monster Championship, Mexican National Heavyweight Championship and UWA World Light Heavyweight Championship to create the AAA Mega Championship. The championship was generally contested in professional wrestling matches, in which participants execute scripted finishes rather than contend in direct competition.

International Wrestling Cartel is an American professional wrestling promotion based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is currently owned and run by Justin Plummer.

Norm Connors ran the promotion for 16 years till he handed the reigns to then announcer Chuck Roberts. The Little League Baseball World Series is an annual baseball tournament for children—typically boys—aged 10 to 12 years old, held in the Eastern United States. Originally called the National Little League Tournament, it was later renamed for the World Series in Major League Baseball. The Series was first held in 1947 and is held every August in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania; while the postal address of the organization is in Williamsport, the Series itself is played at Howard J. Lamade Stadium and Volunteer Stadium at the Little League headquarters complex in South Williamsport.

Initially, only teams from the United States competed in the Series, but it has since become a worldwide tournament. The tournament has gained popular renown, especially in the United States, where games from the Series and even from regional tournaments are broadcast on ESPN. Teams from the United States have won a plurality of the series, although from 1969 to 1991 teams from Taiwan dominated the series, winning in 15 out of those 23 years. Taiwan's dominance during those years has been attributed to a national effort to combat its perceived diplomatic isolation around the world. From 2010 through 2018, teams from Tokyo, Japan, similarly dominated the series, winning five of those matchups.

While the Little League Baseball World Series is frequently referred to as just the Little League World Series, it is actually one of 12 tournaments sponsored by Little League International, in 12 different locations. The Edmund P. Joyce Athletic & Convocation Center, often called the Joyce Center, formerly the Athletic & Convocation Center, is a 9,149-seat multi-purpose arena in Notre Dame, Indiana just north of South Bend. The arena opened its doors in 1968. It is home to the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish basketball and volleyball teams. The main arena, Phillip J. Purcell Pavilion, is located in the southern portion of the facility. The northern portion housed a hockey rink until October 2011.
