Zaranj or Zarang (Persian/Pashto/Balochi: زرنج‎) is a city in southwestern Afghanistan, near the border with Iran, which has a population of 160,902 people as of 2015. It is the capital of Nimruz province and is linked by highways with Lashkar Gah to the east, Farah to the north and the Iranian city of Zabol to the west. Zaranj is a major border crossing between Afghanistan and Iran, which is of significant importance to the trade-route between Central Asia and South Asia with the Middle East. The history of Zaranj dates back over 2500 years and Ya'qub ibn al-Layth al-Saffar, founder of the Saffarid dynasty, was born in this old civilization.

The ACVV, formerly known as the Afrikaanse Christelike Vrouevereniging (English translation: Afrikaner Christian Women's Movement) is a woman's movement in South Africa founded in 1904. It is the oldest welfare organisation in South Africa.

It initially was Afrikaner-centred and conservative. Women's organizations like the ACVV extended their operations beyond the realm of the home and became involved in Afrikaner education, identity and inevitably, politics.

Annai is an Amerindian village in the Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo Region of Guyana.

Annai stands at an altitude of 95 metres (314 feet), at the edge of the Rupununi savannah, where the cattle trail to the Atlantic coast begins. It is nestled in the foothills of the Pakaraima Mountains, and is close to the Rupununi River. Annai, considered to be the gateway to the Rupununi, is approximately 15 miles north of Karanambo and is 416 km (258 mi) by road from the nation's capital, Georgetown.

Much of the population of the area are members of the Macushi people. Annai is one of the northernmost Macushi Amerindian villages in the North Rupununi Savannahs. It is mainly an agriculture community living on cassava and peanut farming, and cattle ranching. Electricity is provided by solar power. Public services include a nursury, primary, and secondary school as well as a public health centre. Annai's airstrip (NAI) allows light planes to land.

Annai is home to the Rock View Ecotourism Resort, an old ranch built in the 1950s. Rock View is a good base for trips to the Iwokrama International Centre for Rain Forest Conservation and Development.

Kwatamang is a satellite village of Annai that was settled in 1948, and a school was built there in 1990.

Haikou (; Chinese: 海口; pinyin: Hǎikǒu), also spelled as Hoikow is the capital and most populous city of the Chinese province of Hainan. Haikou city is situated on the northern coast of Hainan, by the mouth of the Nandu River. The northern part of the city is the district of Haidian Island, which is separated from the main part of Haikou by the Haidian River, a branch of the Nandu. Administratively, Haikou is a prefecture-level city, comprising four districts, and covering 2,280 square kilometres (880 sq mi). Guilin (Standard Zhuang: Gveilinz; alternatively romanized as Kweilin) is a prefecture-level city in the northeast of China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is situated on the west bank of the Li River and borders Hunan to the north. Its name means "forest of sweet osmanthus", owing to the large number of fragrant sweet osmanthus trees located in the region. The city has long been renowned for its scenery of karst topography.
